Queensland Indigenous Arts Marketing & Export Agency
The Queensland Indigenous Arts Marketing and Export Agency (QIAMEA) promotes Queensland's Indigenous arts industry through marketing and export activity at the state national and international level.
Established by the Queensland Government in 2003, QIAMEA promotes Indigenous Visual Arts and Crafts primarily, as well as Performing Arts and Literature.
QIAMEA's objectives are to:
- Raise the profile of Indigenous artists from Queensland in domestic and international markets
- Establish and maintain professional working relationships by acting as a conduit between the State and Federal Government, the arts industry and the Indigenous art communities
- Build long-term relationships with key organisations and the arts industry in both national and international markets to promote the very best of Queensland's Indigenous art
- Develop opportunities for Queensland's Indigenous artists through marketing and export strategies
- Advocate for the continuous development of the Queensland Indigenous arts industry as well as community and cultural development
- Establish Queensland Indigenous arts as a significant contemporary force in both international and domestic markets
- Maintain and promote Indigenous cultural integrity within the Indigenous arts export industry.
