Eligibility
Businesses small and large, regional and metropolitan, may enter the awards if they satisfy the criteria:
- are Queensland based or have their main export operations based in Queensland
- produce goods or services that have Australian content* of at least 50 per cent of their Free On Board (FOB) value
- earn foreign exchange
- operate as a separate business if part of a larger organisation
- companies may only enter one state or territory awards program (i.e. you may not submit an application for the same business in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria).
*Australian content may include direct or indirect manufacture of goods, the intellectual property, design or engineering component of services.
In addition:
- companies that have been exporting for three financial years or less are eligible for the Emerging Exporter category in addition to their industry category
- organisations with a non-metropolitan head office may enter the Regional Exporter category
- government agencies are not eligible to apply, however export businesses that receive funding from the government are eligible to apply
- companies must comply with all relevant laws
- companies must include adequate, true and accurate financial details in the online application.
