Trade and Investment Queensland

Message from the Premier of Queensland

With the release of the Export Awards' guidelines, we mark the start of a program that recognises and celebrates Queensland businesses taking on global markets.

In recent months, Queensland has been dealt some heavy blows.

Much of the State was devastated by floods or cyclones, and as a result many businesses suffered. As tough as these times have been, however, they have also reminded us that Queenslanders endure and pull together to get back up again.

Resilient and innovative businesses strengthen our economy and create jobs. Across Queensland, one in five jobs is trade related. In the regions, that figure rises to one in four.

This year, more than ever, it is important to recognise the contribution of our exporters not only to the State's bottom line, but also to our people.

These awards are about innovation, seeking out new market opportunities, implementing new strategies and, ultimately, thinking local and going global.

Please share your success story by applying for a Premier of Queensland's Export Award.
