This trade mission will include government-to-government meetings and meetings between both Queensland and Chinese institutional education bodies. Nov | UK, Russia | Sports business trade mission to the United Kingdom and Russia
Overview
As part of Queensland's partnership with the Australian International Sporting Events Secretariat (AISES), Trade Queensland will lead a trade mission to the United Kingdom and Russia. Queensland sports businesses will have the opportunity to meet with the organising committees of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the Sochi 2014 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games and the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.
A full business-matching program, linking Australian companies with UK and Russianbased organisations, will be offered. These sessions aim to assist companies to identify and develop relationships with overseas partners with the intention of jointly tendering for major event contracts and wider sports business opportunities in the United Kingdom and Europe.

The Arab Health Exhibition is, by far, the largest healthcare exhibition in the Middle East, and the second largest in the world. Jan | Saudi Arabia, Algeria | MENA-EX mining exhibition
Overview
MENA-EX 2010 is set to be one of the year's premier events for the international mining industry. Launched in 2008, MENA-EX is the fi rst international mining and exploration exhibition held in Saudi Arabia and boasts more than 130 companies from around the world. Supported by the Saudi Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources and the Saudi Geological Survey, this exhibition provides a stepping-stone into what could be one of the most lucrative mining markets in the world.
The Trade and Investment Commissioners will provide support to Queensland companies at the MENA-EX exhibition.

Overview
India's marine sector is in the early stages of development, with emerging demand for small- to medium-sized patrol boats, luxury boats and marina facilities. This trade mission to Mumbai will include participation at the Mumbai International Boat Show, India's premier boating and marine industry trade show, to provide a strategic platform for Queensland companies to pursue export opportunities in India's emerging marine industry. Overview
The Philippines Government has made a number of structural changes to its mining legislation and regulations as well as to the stock market rules to encourage greater foreign investment into the mining sector. As a consequence, a number of projects are under development including the US$2 billion Xstrata copper mine in Tampakan. Overall the Philippines Department of Environment and Natural Resources estimates that US$10 billion will be invested in mining, as well as oil and gas projects in the coming four years, which presents a number of opportunities for Queensland producers of innovative goods and services.
The Indonesia leg will coincide with the Austrade-run Ozmine event - a targeted mining goods and services trade show. The mission will build on the October trade mission to Indonesia, which targeted additional opportunities in a $650 million mineral sands project in Java and a $1.5 billion coal project in Kalimantan.

Overview
Trade Queensland will manage Queensland's participation in the 2010 Australian trade mission to the Asian Development Bank (ADB) headquarters in Manila. The trade mission also includes meetings with Australian Managing Contractors based in Manila and senior representatives of the World Bank in Manila.
Held on an annual basis, the trade mission offers access to key ADB decision makers and is a priority for Queensland companies interested in international development business, in particular those interested in ADB-funded projects. In 2009, 13 of the 23 mission participants were from Queensland. Current priorities of the Asian Development Bank include public sector fi nance management, public sector management, education and climate change.

Latin America is a key emerging market for Queensland. Trade Queensland has been developing strong links in the region since 2001 and, as part of its ongoing strategic engagement, is planning to conduct a trade mission to the region in 2010. Participating in the mission will enable your company to take advantage of the government and industry links that Trade Queensland has established throughout Latin America.
The mission will focus on mining equipment, technology and services, transport infrastructure and energy. It is proposed that the mission will fi nish in Chile, enabling participation at Expomin, 12-16 April 2010 in Santiago.

The BIO International Convention is the largest global event for the biotechnology industry. Health foods and functional ingredients and are growing industries in Japan, and Queensland is demonstrating that its food companies can complement the Japanese food industry with the supply of healthy and safe ingredients.
To capitalise on the potential export opportunities for Queensland companies, Trade Queensland will lead a trade mission to the International Food Ingredients and Additives Conference (IFIA) in Tokyo in 2010.
IFIA is Asia's largest food and ingredients event and is held in conjunction with the Health Food Exhibition (HFE).

In response to the private and public sector focus on the development of leisure industry sectors in Korea, and Queensland's relative competitive advantage in these sectors, Trade Queensland has targeted opportunities for Queensland businesses to develop partnerships in leisure industry development in this market.
Over the past three years Trade Queensland has worked to establish linkages between Queensland's marine industry and the Korea market. This trade mission will be held in conjunction with the Korea International Boat Show to assist Queensland companies to further target marine infrastructure development opportunities, as well as the leisure industry-related opportunities.

Multi-billion dollar rail infrastructure projects include mass transit projects in Bangkok, the trans-Asia rail line and the Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City High Speed Trail project. In addition, opportunities exist in the energy sector, including power stations and renewable energy projects.
The mission will include a business meeting program for individual companies as well as a number of networking opportunities to profile Queensland companies to the major decision makers in the markets.
