exportweek09

Export Week is an annual activity that recognises, promotes and assists with growing Queensland's export businesses and industries. Through a comprehensive state-wide program of activities, it provides professional development and information on growth sectors and market opportunities to Queensland's new and existing exporters and internationally focused businesses.

Export Week highlights the significance of exporting to the Queensland economy and celebrates the success of Queensland exporters.

Export Week 2009, which was held 19 - 23 October, has come to a close and we are pleased to report another successful year. Companies from across Queensland participated in more than 25 export-related activities, which included seminars and networking functions around topics including clean technology and green building, biotechnology, education and training, security for trade delegates, mining opportunities in Russia, infrastructure opportunities in Papua New Guinea, as well as a Middle East networking event and market briefings from each of the 10 Queensland Government Trade and Investment Commissioners.

Queensland's business community also celebrated the success of the state's leading exporters at the Premier of Queensland's Export Awards gala dinner and presentation (view the winners and finalists for 2009 ).

If you missed any of the events or would like to revisit some of the material featured during these activities, please see below for some of the week's presentations.

We'll do it all again in 2010. Keep up to date on Export Week 2010 here on our website.

We also host regular seminars, networking functions and trade missions throughout the year and deliver export workshops across the state. Find out more about what's happening near you at our events and export training page.
